TECH SUPPORT FAQ’s:
Why are my saved links gone when I open another tab?
The free version only supports one active (Main) tab. If you choose “Make Main Tab” in another tab, your old tab’s data will be cleared unless you’re using Pro.
What happens if I turn off the Webloggle extension while keeping my Pro subscription active?
If you disable the Webloggle extension (via chrome://extensions or manually), all your saved data — including links, titles, notes, and tab sessions — will be lost immediately unless you’ve exported it.
Webloggle stores all data locally in Chrome’s storage. When the extension is disabled or removed, Chrome often clears that local storage. Turning the extension back on will not restore your previous sessions.
Important: Your Pro subscription remains active and valid, but the saved content is not preserved unless:
-
You’ve exported your sessions as HTML (Pro feature), or
-
You use a Chrome profile backup or sync tool that preserves extension storage (rare)
To protect your data, we recommend:
-
Exporting important sessions regularly (Pro users)
-
Not disabling the extension unless you’ve backed up your content
The icon isn’t showing up — what should I do?
Try refreshing the tab, or check if the extension is enabled at chrome://extensions. If it’s still not visible, it may be hidden underneath another element on the page — like an ad overlay, pop-up, or support chat widget.
If it’s under an ad, try closing or X’ing out the ad.
If it’s behind a floating “chat” or “help” button, minimize or move that widget until the Webloggle icon appears.
Once visible, you can click and drag the icon to a new position on the screen.
How do I save a link with Webloggle?
You can drag any link into the floating Webloggle icon or drop box, or right-click the link and choose “Save to Webloggle.”
How do I upgrade to Webloggle Pro?
Visit webloggle.com, choose a monthly or yearly plan, and purchase a license key. Enter the key in the extension to activate Pro.
I entered a valid key but Pro didn’t activate — what now?
Check for typos, ensure you’re connected to the internet (for validation), and reload the tab. Contact support if the issue persists.
What’s the difference between Webloggle Free and Pro?
Pro unlocks multiple named tabs, unlimited notes per link, dropdown switching of named tabs, download/export, share embeds, and more.
My Pro features disappeared — what happened?
If Chrome cleared your storage (via update or profile reset), you may need to re-enter your license key. We recommend always downloading your important Webloggle links to your computer before agreeing to any Chrome updates or after each session.
Can I use Webloggle in multiple tabs at once?
Yes, but only in Webloggle Pro. Each tab becomes its own saved session, with a name, links, and notes.
Can I export my saved links in Pro?
Yes. Click “Download” in the drop box to save all your links and notes as an HTML file.
Where is the Webloggle icon after I install it?
Look for the small floating icon inside your browser tab. If it’s not visible, refresh the tab or make sure the extension is enabled under chrome://extensions. You can move the icon by simply dragging it.
How do I install Webloggle?
Go to the Chrome Web Store, search for Webloggle, and click “Add to Chrome.” The extension will appear in your browser automatically.
Where do I enter my Pro license key?
Click the gear icon in the Webloggle drop box or the “Go Pro” button. Paste your key when prompted.
Does Webloggle track my browsing activity?
No. Webloggle never tracks or collects any browsing data. Only user-saved content is stored — locally only.
How does the one-tab limit work in the Free version?
You can only use Webloggle on one active tab by clicking the “Make Main Tab” button. Activating another tab deletes the previously saved links.
How do I rename a saved link?
Click the pencil/edit icon next to the saved link in the Webloggle box. Enter your new title and press Enter.
How do I name my tab session?
Click the tab name pencil in the drop box header. Enter a custom name to label that session. Save by clicking the pencil again.
How do I delete a saved link?
Click the small “X” next to any saved link inside the drop box to remove it from the session.
Can I share a saved session with someone else?
Yes. With Pro, you can generate an embed-friendly output to paste into Notion, websites, or dashboards.
Where is my data stored?
All Webloggle data is stored locally in your Chrome browser. Nothing is uploaded or tracked.
My links aren’t saving — what could be wrong?
Ensure you’re dragging the link correctly or right-clicking properly. Also confirm you’re using the main tab if on the Free version.
The drop box doesn’t open when I click the icon — why?
Make sure only one drop box is open per tab. Reloading the tab usually resolves the issue.
What happens if I enter an invalid or expired key?
The extension will reject the key and display a message. Make sure you’re using the exact key from your confirmation email.
Do I need to enter my key every time I restart Chrome?
No. Once activated, Webloggle Pro remembers your license locally.
Does Webloggle work in Incognito mode?
Only if you manually enable it under chrome://extensions > Webloggle > “Allow in Incognito.” Note: some features may not work properly in Incognito mode due to Chrome restrictions.
Can I reinstall Webloggle without losing my data?
Data is stored locally, so uninstalling will erase saved sessions unless you’ve exported them first. Pro users should keep their license key to re-activate after reinstall.
Do I need to create an account to use Webloggle?
No. Webloggle works without any account. All data is stored locally, and Pro is unlocked using a license key.
Can I use Webloggle with other tab managers?
Yes, but keep in mind that some extensions may interfere with floating elements or scripting permissions. If you experience conflicts, try temporarily disabling others.
Will Webloggle slow down my browser?
No. The extension is lightweight and runs only when active in the tab. It does not affect overall browser speed.
Does Webloggle work on all websites?
Yes, Webloggle works across all standard web pages, but some highly restricted pages (like the Chrome Web Store or internal Chrome pages) don’t allow extensions to inject content.
Can I use Webloggle on mobile?
Not currently. Webloggle is designed specifically for desktop use, due to drag-and-drop and in-tab interaction features.
